More and more quilts quilted!

August has been a fairly busy month quilting so I thought I’d share some pictures of the quilts I have done. All of them have been a joy to work on.

The first two were pieced by Reynola Pakusich. The split 9-patch is made from Asian ikat material with indigo sashing and borders. I did stitch in the ditch around all those small blocks and individual floral design in each block.

The second quilt is made from silk kimono fabric with a fine wool kimono fabric border. On this I did a fern in the borders and small ferns in each of the diamond silks.

The next two quilts were made by Carolyn Hanson. The first, I call Poppies, is a pieced wallhanging with lots of negative space, which I loved! I chose a leaf theme and put different leaves in various blocks.

Her second quilt is a fused applique of a Red Eyed Tree Frog. She put this together in a class with Rob Appell. I was so delighted to be asked to quilt it. So much fun! I did a lot of quilting in the “borders” so Carolyn can cut them off or keep portions of them. Can’t wait to see how she decides to finish this one!

Hope you have enjoyed viewing these quilts as much as I did quilting them! I have so much more to share…..I promise I will blog a bit more often!
