Moonlight Quilter’s Challenge quilts

This past week has been very busy for me with various quilting events. For the past two years I have been on the Challenge quilt committee for Moonlight Quilters guild in Bellingham. This year the challenge was to create a table runner or banner (with size restrictions) that depict some kind of celebration because MQG celebrated it’s 20th anniversary of it’s existence. We had 7 participate ( just couldn’t get it done…and I do like a good challenge…oh well)….and they were all great! The winners were: Carrie Unick in first place with a vertical banner depicting the 20th anniversary.
Linda Chorney in second place with a festive horizontal banner celebrating whatever you want to.
Tonya Alexander in third place made an adorable multi-layered cake for celebrating whatever as well.
It was a fun challenge and I realized I didn’t take any pictures of the winners with their quilts! There were ribbons and cash prizes, too!

First place: Carrie Unick

Second Place: Linda Chorney

Third Place: Tonya Alexander
