Drawing of a woman

I’m continuing to draw. This time is of a woman. I used the graphing technique so that the features come out in the correct proportion. Now that it’s finished, I can see places that I could have improved on it….but decided to post it anyway. Perhaps I’ll go back and make those changes and post again. It’s all a learning process, isn’t it? I’m still working everyday on client quilts, but none at the moment to post. Check back later!

  1. You used the graph method? I am going to have to try that, I keep avoiding it in Hammond’s book. Good job!

    • It makes it easier. I just took a plastic report cover like you slip a piece of paper into, cut it apart. Then I took a sharpie and made a graph on each one. I place one on the picture and the other behind my paper…that way I don’t have to erase any lines…that would be a bummer! it’s really helped a lot….give it a try.
